Serious snow.
Last night, it was snowing as I walked home. This morning, I awoke to a white world. Seriously white. The snow has gathered in drifts on the sidewalks and in the streets, and the parks are a wonderland. And it's still coming down. This is what I have been waiting for. The flakes are different from what we've had before, too. They are finer and icier than before, and the resulting snow is really slippery, particularly where it has been turned into a pale brown sludge by the passage of cars and feet. I am really grateful for my big boots. The weather report is predicting more of the same all the rest of this week.
