International Space Station visible passes

I saw the international Space Station tonight. I lay on my back in nearly complete darkness (certainly darker than you get in the city) and watched it wing across the sky in under two minutes. I felt like I was floating along with it. The air was warm, and the sounds of the night were penetrating and engulfing. I had, for a moment, a sense of eternity.

UPDATE:
I just learned that while I was seeing my moment of eternity, the unfortunate whale in the Thames died.
