I can't believe it's already a week since my last post! The conference starts tomorrow, and I have been going mad trying to get all the final arrangements sorted out. I haven't even packed yet! Still, I'm excited about this paper, and eager to see what response I get. So wish me luck!

Thank You so much, Orikinla. I am now home from the conference, and the results are very exciting. We are forming a new South African music scholarship organization to replace the old South African Musicology society, and the South African Ethnomusicological Symposium, and allow us to talk to one another more than we have been. It all looks very promising.
